| Job Description |
Medical Support Solutions provides medical services to a diplomatic mission and their deployed international personnel at Mogadishu International Airport in Somalia.
A General Practitioner with emergency medical experience is required to provide routine sick calls and the management of minor sick and injured personnel and offer emergency medical services on a 24/7 basis. Emergency patient care, triage and medical and trauma resuscitation. |
| Qualifications |
ESSENTIAL
Licensed physician with university degree in medicine and surgery;
At least 5 years' experience in outpatient medicine, OR
at least 2 years of post-graduate training in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine;
ACLS, ATLS;
Experience in remote medicine, infectious diseases and tropical medicine.
Current registration with a professional body;
Police clearance;
Fluent in English.
ADVANTAGEOUS
Emergency and trauma experience;
ITLS, PHTLS, ACLS-EP;
FAST/ bedside ultrasound;
Advanced airway management/RSI/AIME;
Remote site experience;
Military background;
Aviation Medicine.
